In this image you can see three faint streaks of geosynchronous satellites in the foreground. The image was obtained by an unguided seires of exposures, registering all frames to the
comet nucleus and doing a simple median combine. The effect of star trails is quite dramatic using this technique, with the total number of exposures easily ascertained by just
counting the number of "dots" a star contributed to the image. In this case there were 20 total exposures separated by a fixed delay time of 120 seconds between exposures.
